While scrolling for some anime to watch and watching NGC's Dangerous Encounters With Brady Barr i decided to write a review on Spiral, which in my opinion is possibly one of the worst animes around so let us begin. The story of spiral basically revolves around Ayumu Narumi, Kyotaka (Ayumu's older brother), the Blade Children(a group of so called damned children), and Hiyono Yuizaki( a school journalists that follows Ayumu everywhere throughout the series). Spiral begins with Ayumu's brother disappearing out of no where and leaving only two words behind Blade Children. With the disappearance of his brother Ayumu encounters the blade children who believe him to be some sort of savior to them. But for some reason they seem to want to test their savior and see if he is capable of saving them so the entire series revolves around the blade children trying to kill Ayumu in a dangerous explosive situation and Ayumu trying to figure who they are and counter there plots. I say explosive because it seems that in almost every episode there is a bomb. The entire anime gives off this logical approach to solve any situation that one is in. The story consists of long and drawn out mental battles that have no appeal to them because of the lack of information the viewer gains from them.

Animation: 3

Animation is mediocre at best mainly because of the camera angles they are not very impressive as in other animes. on a lighter side the animation is not all that horrible but you cant compare it to anything great.

Music: 7.5

The music on the other hand is quite good from the short piano pieces during the anime to the opening and closing i can say that Spirals music is all it has going for it.

Characters: 4.5

The characters are not well developed and they dont give you a sense of deep intuitive insight. Ayumu Narumi:

Overall: 4.25

overall this anime is a failure the story could be better many things are not explained such as what and who the blade children. The first few episodes of this anime are pretty good it not until the middle of the series that one realizes that its going nowhere. On the other hand the manga for Spiral is said to be great and explain a whole lot more. So plz take my advice dont waste you time watching this anime just read the manga instead.
