Danno in CanadaSears warehouse guy #02I enjoyed most of the Naruto series, but I found it went way downhill when it hit Shippuden... Well, I think it was already going downhill when those couple of seasons of filler started. The show was so intense at first... and that intensity lasted for quite a while. I found most of the filler to be fine, though most of it lacked that intensity... And then Shippuden, what I had eagerly looked forward to, was just a huge disappointment.
The dramatic music, the emphasis on the characters' new appearances, the weak battle scenes involving characters that I didn't really care about... I stopped watching at around episode 10 of Shippuden... I heard it gets better later, but I'm in no rush to watch more.Blessed is he who expects nothing for he shall never be disappointed.

I hope that somehow excludes Gaara vs. that guy with the hands... sheesh, and everyone was going on about "Shippuden is intense too! Gaara died!", but, even though I haven't watched that far, I completely doubt that. And that fight with Kankuro and Sasatori or whatever that guy's name was... I found that to be pretty boring. I think Kankuro did hand seals once. Aside from that, he just stated his jutsu...
I used to love the hand seals... they were so cool... Now we have Kakashi doing them so fast that they can't even be appreciated. Not cool.

Yeah, the 2 you mentioned were not compelling. I was referring to Sasori vs. Sakura & Chiyo. The chase between Kakashi/Naruto and Deidara was good, but not because of the fight. I think the resistance was pathetic or that Kakashi was just way too skilled for him. The thing is we got to see Kakashi's new ability and Naruto's new form and it's a promise of more exciting things to come.
I don't know about the hand seals. Maybe you're right. They were more pronounced during the Zabuza fight scenes, but now I don't notice them anymore.

Oh, Kakashi disappointed me when he did that bell test again... It felt like he wasn't even trying, and he was just praising Naruto and Sakura's every action when Naruto hadn't even used any new techniques.
The music in Shippuden...! The music used to set the mood, whether it was a sad moment, an intense moment, or a silly moment... I really didn't like the Shippuden music at all. It didn't have any intensity at all, to my ears... Ugh, and the opening theme! Naruto had so many awesome opening themes, then they go to this "hip" rap stuff... The way they approached things really made it feel like they wanted to dazzle us before we could insult the new series before us...
I guess I should give Shippuden a chance again, but it's low on my priorities...

I kinda think I'm looking at the negatives too much as well, but... when I first watched Shippuden, I was thinking "Aaalright, this is gonna be sweet!", but then... even with my bias, I couldn't come to love it...

The reason I first started to watch this series was because of the good action scenes, but now the action scenes are like 30 seconds long and the previous episode recap is about 5 minutes long. What does that leave you with, a whole lot of nothing and talking and slow moving frames to capture all of the characters in different angles.

kameix2 in 37* 14'24.63"N 115* 49'06.80W 4463ftfor me, naruto is really good from season 1-5 i think (hokage vs orochimaru), was ok after that up to the fight between naruto and sasuke after that hmm.. i don't know, i just hate it when they make a 10min scene then stretch it to a 1/2hour episode. i think i understand why they're doing it but for me, i rather watch other anime than watch this.

nightangel in TXhigh school student no more =)well you all say true stuff that i agree with you on..but still i like naruto its just some episodes that you waste youre time on thats all..but right now its almost time for naruto and sasuke to meet again so im looking forward to that scene....
i just cant wait for the next episodes...the manga is just so far now...i dont want to start reading the manga because i might not stop...and it might spoil the fun of waiting for the anime...
