I tried to read manga...

I tried to read The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but I really didn't like it. Everything seemed so rushed, there was so little character development, I was so confused... I loved the anime, so I wanted to read what they hadn't animated (though I hear a second season is coming out), but I couldn't stand that manga. Is all manga like that, or did I just pick a bad one? Or a bad translation?

Actually, reports show that manga is not built for the prose eye. Try looking focusing on the images, and reading with your peripheral vision.

Note all manga is like that, and I doubt it's a fast translation. Manga just moves at a different pace than anime...etc.

Hmm... I suppose that manga just wasn't for me. Now that I think about, I did read some Ranma 1/2 manga, and it was very similar to the anime... I guess I'll just wait for the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... I mean, when

Asakura was trying to kill Kyon in the anime, and Nagato saved him, that was pretty damn intense... but when I read it in the manga, it just wasn't the same at all... it was just over with so quickly and it didn't feel nearly as action-packed...

hey, when you said in the tag how it was not action packed, you mind giving me an explaintion?

I mean usually anime cuts off some things in manga and sometimes puts in their own filler. And, its vice versa sometimes.

One and, come to think of it, where you get Haruhi manga? Cause I sure would like to try and read that manga to see the difference of the 2

I got it from this site: http://www.mangadownload.net/manga/s...
I thought it looked way more intense in the anime... Visually, and I thought it was pretty cool how Nagato was talking super fast, manipulating the data.

I think you have to log into that site to download... you can just use the account I had if you want.

oh nice, thanks man, but i'm not sure you should give away your pass and acc lol, I might be able to get your private infor that way... its just a maybe, not sure if i could lol...

you thought it was cool with Nagato talking fast, I though it was funny for me when I saw it lol

Ah, that account doesn't matter to me... I don't think I have any personal information stored on it, and I don't much care for that website as I found that particular manga unappealing. I very rarely use 12341234 as a password, so it doesn't really matter...

Anyhow, was it the same as the one you had?

Err... my bad. I guess I kinda misread when you said "One and, come to think of it, where you get Haruhi manga? Cause I sure would like to try and read that manga to see the difference of the 2".

No not all manga infact there are many that are better than there anime counter parts. Haruhi actually originated from a light novel and then was translated into a manga and a anime so it is alittle diffrent then most cases that are animes created from the original manga. For the most part the manga is more detailed than the anime because they are somewhat easier and less expensive to produce which makes the storylines usually more complicated and longer than the anime.
